Canadians continue to give strong support to their governments. At 66%, provincial governments enjoy the highest levels of approval for their COVID-19 response, with the federal government just five points behind. Municipal governments have the support of just under half the public with much of the difference due to more uncertainty.
There are small declines in the average approval for municipal and provincial government approval but it is unclear if this is a trend just yet.
The main differences are seen in Alberta. Approval for the provincial government dropped 11 as did approval of the municipal response in Calgary. In Edmonton approval of the municipal response is also down 8 points. Approval of the federal government response is down 4 points in Alberta as well.
